“今天我站在这里想对即将踏入人生新旅途的同学们说，准备好面对这个世界抛给你的任何问题，继续前进，因为与这个世界一直试图告诉你的相反，你不需要现在就知道所有的答案，唯一要做的就是相信自己勇往直前。人生不是一场考试，而是一条学习的曲线。

所以，无论你需要多少时间，都要弄清楚自己真正想要的是什么。这个世界会以你意想不到的方式改变你，但你不应该反抗它，让它帮助你成长。”

尊敬的各位老师、家长、同学们：

大家好！

我叫谢馥聪，是诺美学校第一批毕业生中的一员。

今天是我、我的父母、我的同学和在座的各位家长终生难忘的一天，也是诺美各位老师们值得自豪和骄傲的一天！因为，今天我们四十几名诺美首届毕业生要毕业了！

今天，我们将正式告别中学生活，迈向人生新的起点；今天，我们将离开培育我们成长的诺美学校各自展翅翱翔；今天，我们将在老师和家长欣慰的目光里身着学位服手捧毕业证最后一次流连在诺美静怡的校园，让每一个青春的身影都镌刻在母校温暖的时光里。

在今天这个特殊的日子，我有太多的话想说。但左思右想，千言万语都汇集成一个词：感谢！我想对老师们说一声：感谢！感谢你们三年来的教导和陪伴，感谢你们的鼓励、发现、批评和纠正；感谢你们让我收获知识的同时也收获了友谊；我想对父母说一声：感谢！感谢你们对我的包容和支持，感谢你们选择了诺美，让我拥有了一段自信、自主、自强的高中生活；我想对同学们说一声：感谢！感谢你们出现在我的生命里，和我一起学习、讨论、欢笑、流泪；未来的日子让我们继续战斗，为目标而战。

这样一个时代，感觉就像一股没有归宿的激流。但是，作为一个个体，我们能够为我们的生活命中注定的只有道德、勇气、希望，以及感谢每一个引导和帮助我们的人。我希望每一位NAIS毕业生，无论是现在还是将来，不仅能学到让你们快乐和成功的方法，还能学到让你们在这里的生活中获得价值的美德和洞察力。

Good Morning, Ladies and gentlemen！

In such an exciting day, we sit here waiting for the last day of high school. To those who don’t know me, my name is Fiona Xie, the senior of NAIS. And now I want to give a big congratulation to all of you, including myself, for being the first graduation class of NAIS today. The world we live in is plagued with the virus, COVID-19 specifically, and we all know that we have been trapped in homes for five months and struggled with the online classes. Despite all odds, we still finished all courses and graduate, so let’s give us a big round of applause.

We have gathered here for just 3 years, and it’s already time to say goodbye. How did it all go so fast? It seems like only yesterday that we were the dumb freshmen fighting with the locks on our lockers, trying to figuring out where our next class was, and confused with the instructions given by teachers. But now we are all the upperclassmen, the role models of the juniors, and the seniors who are ready to graduate and move forward in the world.

Standing here today, I don’t know what kind of conclusion fits this occasion best, but I can clearly feel my growth and precipitation that I have made in the past three years. NAIS gives us enough freedom for making choice, but it also gives us so many reasons to worry. We worried about messing up our TOEFL test, lowering the GPA in the exams, and fearing that working so hard, but end up with nothing. But it is in such a dilemma that we learned to be self-disciplined and motivated.

So what I am trying to tell you today, not only to the graduates but for all of the students in NAIS is Be ready for whatever the world throws at you and keep going because contrary to what the world keeps trying to tell you, you don't need to have all the answers right now, all you have to do is believe in yourself and keep fighting until you reach your goal. Life is a learning curve, not an exam. So just let the extra effort you make be the trial of your courage and will. We have experienced so much over the years here, so don’t let them knock you down. Let it push you forward and be the person who you are.

In such a moment of transition in my life, I would like to say a special thanks to my AP Chemistry teacher, Ms. Cha. It’s you who deepen my interests in biology and chemistry, making me know that I am capable to learn this subject and be firm in my academic choice. I also feel so grateful that you always talk to me and give me advice when I am upset, and most importantly, I will never forget the laugh we have shared with the most hanhan teacher in the school.

It is such an era that feels like a torrent with no destined estuary. But what we can destine for our life as an individual are no else but morality, bravery, hope, and being thankful to everyone who guides or helps us. I hope that every NAIS graduate for now and for the future will not only learn approaches that will help you be happy and successful, but also the virtue and insight that make you worthy of what you have gained in life here. Thank you.
